Customer Care Specialist

Squaremouth is hiring both full and part time agents to join our non-traditional call center.

No cold calling, sales or other traditional call center goals involved.

This position is hourly paid.

 

Start Date - June/July 2017

 

Responsibilities

Our Customer Care Specialists are in charge of handling the entire travel insurance experience, from helping to navigate our website and understanding coverage before the purchase, to providing emergency assistance during the trip and assisting with the claim after returning home.

 

Pay Scale

Competitive pay with internal progression opportunities and daily paid lunch hour.

7am to 11pm (Day Rate) - $13.50 per hour

11pm to 7am (Night Rate) - $15.50 per hour

 

Available Shifts

Part Time (30 hours per week) and Full Time (40 hours per week) positions available.

Hours/Shifts:

  • Mid Shift: 11:00 to 21:00
  • Second Shift: 15:00 to 01:00
  • Third Shift: 01:00 to 11:00

Full Time - Four 10 hour shifts per week

  • Monday through Thursday
  • Thursday through Sunday

Part Time - Three 10 hour shifts per week

  • Monday through Wednesday
  • Friday through Sunday

 

Insurance Licensing

All Squaremouth employees must successfully complete a background check. We will then apply on your behalf for the legally required 0241 Travel Insurance Agent license. This does not involve a course or test.

Agents are then required to obtain the 0215 Life, Health and Variable Annuities license within 6 months of employment. Squaremouth will organize and pay for the following:

  • 60 Hour Online Pre-Licensing Course, including 90 days of access to practice exams
  • 2 attempts at the Florida State Exam for 30 days following completion of the Pre-Licensing Course
  • 0215 License Application
  • Current Textbook

 

Training

Two Week Training

Week 1: 5 days classroom style Monday through Friday, 10am to 5pm

Week 2: 4 days on-the-job training Monday through Thursday, 9am to 5pm


On-going training during shifts

 

Required Skills

Strong customer service and computer skills.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Attention to detail is imperative.

A commitment to incredible customer service and excellence in everything you do.

Consistent punctuality and reliableness. 

The ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Insurance experience is a plus, but not required.

 

Education/ Work Requirements

Customer service and/or call center experience preferred.

Squaremouth will conduct a background verification.

Background verification must not inhibit ability to obtain travel insurance licenses.

Hourly rate for this position is non-negotiable.

Continued employment is dependent on obtaining 0215 license within 6 months of start date.

Agent must be local to the St Petersburg area and able to work from our Downtown office.
